Town: Glasgow, Scotland, UK
Deaf dog: Lucky is a 10 month old Border Collie. I bought
Lucky from the Cardonald Cat and Dog home in Glasgow, she had been
there for two weeks. She was with an elderly lady before, she had
no training at all, she did her business in the house, I got her
on the tuesday from tue to fri she went on my carpets, then late
friday she went outside. I was so pleased with her, now she knows
the basic commands and sleeps in her own bed, although still a little
jumpy, I think she will get over that. My Partner was a bit iffy
with Lucky, as he thought she would not learn anything, now he loves
her to bits. Although lucky is deaf she still barks at things normal
dogs bark at, she gets vibrations from the floor etc.

Vincent
|
Town: Aberdeenshire, Scotland, UK
Deaf dog: Vincent is a 5 year old Dalmatian. We took Vincent
home when he was 5 weeks old.
He was very easy to train once we managed to get him to stay still!
I think it helped that we already had a dog, Gypsy, a GSD (hearing)
sometimes!! Vince is a fantastic lad always making us laugh! and
getting up to no good!! but I wouldn't have him any other way.
You can read more about Vincent HERE.
Human companions: Alan Minty and my wife and our 15 month
old Daughter
Other pets: Gypsy our loyal German Shepherd and 2 lizards

Town: Killin , Scotland
Deaf dog: Bess is a loving dog despite not having the best
start in life. She loves to run and happily where we live she has
a great deal of freedom. Bess has had a lot to overcome not least
repetative behaviour from being tied up for long periods - cruel for
any dog - torture for a Collie/Huntaway. But she has a wonderful character
and loves everyone. Sadly, she developed arthritis in her front right
wrist and had an operation just before Xmas to fuse the joint. She
is currently patiently suffering restricted exercise, but still remains
a happy, playful, mostly obedient dog.
Human companions: Gill Hunt and family.
Other Pets: Two dogs, two cats, twelve rats, three chinchillas,
a ferret, two hamsters, three chickens, three wild ducks - that is
all at the moment... I think...

arriving at his new home Bouncer has been no problems at all which
we are really surprised at, so touch wood we are going to have a very
