Deaf dog: Snow is a 1 and 1/2 year old American Bulldog. She
is the most loving smart baby girl, we love her so much. She is our
wild child. She is being trained as my service animal and she is doing
well. We love her so much we look forward to getting another deaf
puppy for her playmate. Getting Snow was the most wonderful thing
to happen to both of us, she is a gem! She has enriched our lives.

Town: Alpine, Texas
Deaf dog: Squirt is a 7 month old Australian Shepherd/Catahoulla
Mix. I got her from a friend of mine that was wanting to use her
as a cattle dog. Well, when she turned out to be deaf, he decided
to give her away. She is so smart, and sweet and enjoys chewing
on anything and everything - including the house. I am in the process
of finishing up house breaking with her, but still needs some help
on training her the basic commands. If anyone can offer some help
tips, please feel free to email me.

Town: El Paso, Texas
Deaf dog: Chance is a 1 year old Boxer/Pitbull mix. She is
very affectionate and VERY intelligent. She watches me very closely
and is always willing to please me. She loves to give kisses and
loves to be chased around the yard. She also stands up like she's
human and we dance together. Chance also like to sit on my lap and
likes me to pick her up although she is very heavy now!!! I would
love for her to be a therapy dog one day but right now she's very
hyper, maybe one day. Chance came from a local pet store. She was
noticibly deaf. I told the owner she was deaf and he denied it after
I proved it to him. I was afraid he'd sell it to someone that didn't
realize she was deaf. Luckily for her and myself I was looking for
a puppy anyway so I took her home right then and there! I've never
regretted it and just love her to death. We've been through a lot
including parvo and she was so good for me I don't think I could
find a better dog.
Human companions: Pamela (Skyler) Smith
Other pets: Jessie - very old mixed breed. Damon & Thea -
two mixed Standard poodle/Labrador Mixes (hearing) that I rescued.
I haven't been able to part with them so I guess they're a permanent
part of the family now. 3 Cats (all rescues) Gambit, Zero & Artemis.
I also have some small pets that keep us all entertained
