Star
| Town: Ipswich, Queensland
Deaf dog: Star is a 2 year old Mini Foxie. I got Star from
a pet shop at Redbank when we had to put our other Foxie down because
of age. She has such long legs and was so cute, she went to puppy
school and is very smart. It is hard with her being deaf because she
has special needs but most people don't even know she is deaf unless
we tell them. She is a great little dog and much loved by me and my
kids.
Human companions: Michelle, Amber, Jade and Andrew Dor
Other pets: Dillan, a Lab

Sheba

Muzby
|
Town: Townsville, Queensland
Deaf dog: "Hi, please meet Sheba and Muzby. They are both
Deaf! I am an Auslan Interpreter, and my wife is Deaf. So it is only
logic that we adopted Deaf dogs! Sheba is a Australian Catte Dog (Or
Blue Heeler) , she is about 10 years old (born about 1996). We forgot
when we had him exactly. The breeder gave him the name of 'Freckles',
but we felt Sheba was more suited.
Muzby is an Australian Koolie (or German Coolie, Australian Coolie)
and is born in April 2005. Originally his name was Tennessee, but
that was way too 'posh' for our liking. We chose the name 'Muzby',
because "we must be (Muzby) crazy to get another Deaf dog!"
He is a REAL sheepdog, he rounds up the cats, sticks, even when he
plays with other dogs, he likes to round them up!
Human companions: Antony Daamen and his wife Terry
Other pets: We have also 2 (hearing) cats, and tropical fish.
