Warren, Massachusetts
Deaf dog: Poppy is a 1 and a half year old German
Shorthaired Pointer. Poppy is a fun loving, energetic and intelligent
girl. I love working and playing with her. Her favorite activities
are fetch (if you throw it, she will get it, no matter what it is)
and sleeping on the couch. She loves romping at the dog park with
her dog buddies. She knows many signs, and is currently loving scent
training. This makes her focus, and she is born to do this. We love
it!

Cotton came to us as a foster dog through Russell Rescue. He was

to us calling him. In three days we were so in love with his sweetness
and happiness, we had to add him to our family. Cotton is "love
in a dog suit". He smiles and wags his tail during all of his
waking hours and he has become a favorite in our neighborhood. He
is also a certified therapy dog who has worked with deaf children
for the last 5 years.

he wants to meet everyone. I have to stop people and ask if they
will pet him. He loves to take walks, swim and go hiking. he does
not like when you do not pay attention to him. He will nip me or
push my bed to wake me up. He is the best dog, he knows when you're

Deaf dog: Catlow came to us at roughly 4
years old (March 2003), very scared, timid and undersocialized but
is doing better every day. She's now a ball nut and will stare at
one for hours, just waiting for you to throw it... if you don't,
she attempts to herd us toward the ball so we see what she wants.
She's like a bull in a china shop compared to Neiko the princess...
they are very funny together! Neiko an Australian
Shepherd, born 1998. We rescued Neiko from a shelter at roughly
5 years of age (September 2003). Don't know how anyone could have
