Chico
Town: Ewa Beach, Hawaii
Deaf dog: Chico is a 3 year old French Bulldog. My f'iance and I were looking for a Frenchie and we found an ad on Craigslist, we fell in love right from the beginning. Sadly, we weren't told he was deaf, we just figured it out about the second day. It made me angry, but I love him so much and can't bear the thought of him not being around. He's so beautiful, loving, with the attitude of a Bulldog!
Human companions: Marisa, Gerardo and Anthony
Other pets: Brutal is a 14 month old Shar-Pei/Dobie mix whom we've raised from a pup

Faith

Town: Waianae, Hawaii
Deaf dog: Faith is a 2 year old Pitbull Terrier Mix. We found Faith running on the street. Her owners didn't want her so they gave her to us. We call her Funny Floppy Faithy because of her funny ears. Faith is a fast learner and picks up on any sign I teach her. She does well on and off the leash, always keeping me in sight. Faith loves to wrestle, play with toys, chase anything, jump like a cat, and snuggle. She makes us laugh with her antics. Faith is beautiful and friendly. Everyone who meets her loves her. Our friends get excited when they learn a signal and she responds to it. They are always impressed with her. Our lives would not be complete without Funny Floppy Faithy.
Human companions: Tonya and Brian Smith
Other pets: Jazi - Neapolitan Massitff and Sparky - Little Black Poi Dog (Mutt)

Camera Shy

Town: Wahiawa, Hawaii
Deaf dog: Freckles is a Dalmatian, born July, 2003. Someone found her in a dumpster and brought her into our vet. We have a hearing Dalmatian, Jazzy, and they called to see if we were interested in taking her before they called the Humane Society to pick her up. She is very playful and gets along well with our other Dalmatian and kitten. She fits right in with our family.
Human companions: Carly Forrest
Other pets: Jazzy, 2 year old Dalmatian and Kiko, kitten

Luke
Luke
Town: Wahiawa, Hawaii
Deaf dog: Luke is a 16 week old Great Dane. "Luke was bought from a bad breeder in Hawaii. We were not told about any of his problems when we bought him but love him anyway. He is also vision impaired. Despite his differences he is a great pup and has figured out things, such as the doggie door and house breaking, very quickly."
Human companions: Pris Thomas, her husband and son.
Other pets: An 8 year old Golden Retriever who has helped Luke very much and 2 parrots.

Blue
Blue
Town: Wahiawa, Hawaii
Deaf dog: Blue is an 11 month old Great Dane. "I got my dog from a breeder who lied about his condition. After many vet visits and research I am able now to understand what to expect from him. He really is a great pup. I find it sad that the dollar over rides these dogs happiness a lot of the time. I hope people will learn from this web site."
Human companions: Nicole Guzman-Webler, her husband and son.
Other pets: a 3 year old Jack Russell Terrier, a baby girl fawn Dane, a blue and gold Macaw, and a calico cat.

Deaf dog: Beech is a 4 month old Great Dane. "Beech is an absolute love. He's smart, loving and a little "kolohe" (rascal). He learns very quickly and is very responsive to rewards. I had him transported to Maui from Australia - he is from the Quintessa Line."
Human companions: Kathy and Steve Sargenti
Other pets: Lele, a 7 year old black Lab.
