Coco

Deaf dog: Hugo is a 2 year old French Bulldog. Hugo was born
in the Czech Republic and brought to Spain to be sold. But when
he was here, they realized he was deaf. Nobody wanted him, I saw
him through the internet and decided to buy him. I don't like to
say he's mine. He lives with me and is one of the best things in
my life. He's my wonderful baby, a real triskster.

Town: Bilbao, Vizcaya, España
Deaf dog: Hanna is a 2 year old Boxer. Wen we adopted Hanna
we didn't know she was deaf and when we realized it
we were frightened. We started to search on the internet for further
information in training a deaf dog, but there is little information
about it. We soon realized that training a deaf dog is not so different
as it might appear. you can see Hanna doing some tricks here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BBxP8JHe8-c
from here I encourage everyone to continue with the education of
their deaf dogs.

Lana
|
Town: Madrid, España
Deaf dog: Lana is a 15 year old mix of braco. Lana went deaf
this year, in May. It would have probably happened anyway because
she is already an oldie, but it was too fast for us all. She is
my little baby, the most lovely dog of the world. Lana is the first
dog I ever had and I don't think I will ever find another dog that
is so special.
Human companions: Ana and Husband
Other pets: Another two dogs (Mico, an eleven year old male
and Mori, the new sister, aged ten)

Freki
|
Town: Malaga, España
Deaf dog: Freki, a Dalmatian/Chihuahua mix puppy. His guardian
writes "Freki is one of the best things to happen to me. I've
worked with animal shelters all my life, literally hundreds of dogs
have passed through my hands, I personally have 6. Freki is the
second deaf dog I have known (and the first I've ever adopted).
He is mischievous, playful, clever, funny, and extremely loving.
Teaching him sign language was as easy as training my other dogs.
He doesn't always do what he's supposed to! But he's still a puppy
... and I like a dog with spirit!"
Human companions: Faith A Drummond
Other pets: five other toy/miniature dogs and two cats, all
but one are rescues.
